about me~

oh hello there!

my name is Audrey Ang Okeya! i'm an illustrator & graphic designer & other half of Okeya Stationery Co. ! I was born and raised in the oldest Chinatown in the world, Binondo! In the heart of Manila, Philippines! I lived in SIngapore, Shanghai, then moved to Los Angeles in 2017 when I married Jon!

It was not easy starting a whole new life in America, my family was back home in the Philippines and I only knew Jon and his family. But along the way I've met some incredibly kind and creative pals!

i started my online sticker shop in 2018, not knowing anything about the online selling world, I had 3-5 items in my then Etsy shop. It was really a struggle, 1 order a week and it was from a friend TT_TT But I kept on going, I made more stickers, sticker sheets, kept drawing, then eventually invested in my Journals, and oh boy wowwiwzowie was that one of the best things I've ever done! It was so popular and I sold so many journals and stickers, and by 2022 we started our first ever 'in-person' event selling at Nisei Week in Little Tokyo!

Ever since then, Jon and I have been selling at events, conventions, craft fairs, and business has been good! All I can say to my past self is "never surrender. because you wouldn't have made it this far if you stopped!"

this is all for you little Audrey, my 10 year old self would be so so mind-blown knowing that she is now making a living selling stickers that she drew. <3
